Anyone with a RK '01 with stock passanger floorboards who installed a KICKSTARTER kit ?
Can you kick it ? Are the passenger floorboards not in the way ,
Did you really kicked it ? Is the stock 88 not to high compressed ?
Do I need to change something ?

A stock 2001 Road King Classic is fuel injected..not sure how you can kick start one.
From what I understand you can put a kicker on and it will function but the FI Twin Cams need a lot of revolutions to get started. Probably too many to get it going with a kicker.

THE tc ign system wants to see one complete revolution before firing this is to prevent kick back, as far as kicking one sure. the compression is low enough and the 88 is not that huge to kick. I just did a 103 shovel that was kicker only. It was 10.1 I did install a crane HI4 with kicker mod as it was points to start with. You get it right and it fires second kick, you make a mistake and it bites you HARD!!!! Bite me once on my pinned and screwed ankle left me limping for a few days. I guess the question becomes why?? THe kicker is going to stick out and the pipes are going to be a issue, if it for looks maybe??
