Reverse Pattern Shifting Drum

Howdy,

I was looking at the Baker website at the six speed tranny and came across
the Reverse Pattern Shifting Drum. They have it for both the 5 speed and 6
speed transmissions. Logically, it reverses the pattern of 1d, 4u shifting to
1u, 4d. This seems to be more intuitive and even would give faster shifting.
Would save your boots too. LOL

Has anyone tried this on their scoot? Does anyone have an opinion on it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I had a Norton 750 that had this shift pattern (4 speed tranny), but the shift lever was on the right side. I believe earlier sporsters were set up this way too. The reason why is because there were run on dirt track with left-hand turns. This required the rider to keep his left foot on the track allowing him to control speed and shifting with the right foot.
