I just purchased a digital speedometer off E-bay with 3,200 miles
on it off a 2001 fatboy.
I'll be using it on a custom bike & want to know if it could be
reprogrammed back to 0 miles.
If not would it matter going for inspection?

I know they can be set because when you order a new one from HD, somebody will preset the mileage nowdays. Don't know whether it's the dealer or parts people at HD home warehouse. Call a dealer parts guy and ask.

I know a guy that can plug a laptop or whatever in (trade secret) and set the milage to whatever you'd like it to read!!!
Not that I'd do that of course. :D

HARLEYHOG,
I want it cleared to 0mi. if possibly, Ask the "magician"
If he will do it for me & how much. I just ordered my engine tranny & frame. My sheetmetal I already have, I bought extra set of tin for my original bike."2001 FATBOY" had the tank stretched & custom paintjob
link to paintjob
Then at super sunday in Conneticut my bike was stolen. So since I already have the tin, I came across this adclick here
for twin cam 88B engine & trans & replica frame. I'm really revved about putting it together myself. You can get all the other parts off ebay!
wish me luck, & let me know if the guy you know will help.
