Hi all:
I currently have Samson Streetsweepers on my '98 Sportster (XLH 1200) and want a more mellower sound and increased performance . I have considered the following: A) Vance & Hines 2>1./ Straightshots B) Thunderheaders 2>1. C) Bassani's. I am new to riding (again.) I rode some in the 70's, however I have really no knowledge about these current exhaust systems. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Are the streetsweepers too loud or do they just have a crappy sound? Just curious because I was considering them for my bike.

The straight shots are not too loud at idle or gentle acceleration. They become much more pronounced at WOT. The sound is all harley and the performance is to behold! Of course, I also did the complete thunderjet kit as well as SE air cleaner.
