Has anyone attempted to remove the POS plastic tank badges on a Road King Custom. I would like to remove mine but do not want to ruin the paint. Any suggestions?

When they removed my wifes 03 badge on the tank, they use a piece of dental floss in a sawing action. I would guess that fishing line would work also.

Dental floss, esp. waxed works well. It is best to have the tank/ emblem warm so that the adhesive is soft. (you can heat slightly with a hair dryer, but yoy are not trying to "cook it") A simple sawing motion as mentioned earlier will do wonders

3M adhesive remover.

You can find it at places like Home Depot or a hobbie shop. I used that stuff and a hair dryer to debadge my truck.

...best advice is what McClendons said.

Use a hairdryer. Get the badge hot to the touch and it might just peel off without hardly any effort at all.
