hi
i own a 2002 harley fatboy with factory pipes
if some one can help me
im thinking of removing the baffle
what kind of sound will it give me
and will it affect the performance of the bike

Removing the baffles completely will likely cause low end torque to suffer. Sound will increase to either a tone quality / loudness you like or may be undesirable. Your bigger concern will be the performance loss and what you'll have to do to recover it. Others will chim with advice also.

The baffle has to be drilled out. Get a hole saw bit that's the right size, and drill it out (liberally apply cutting fluid while doing so). Doesn't sound good, may have slight impact on performance.

I'd really look at getting some slip ons or something, the drilled OEMs aren't worth the work.

We used to do it occasionally in the shop, starting in '06 or so, you can't even drill them out anymore. But I never heard a set that sounded good after removal.
