Hello all. I was wondering if you could rejet the carb, while waiting to ugrade the exhaust and free flowing air cleaner, and not hurt the bike or performance? Would the bike run like $hit after rejetting on a stock bike with no other modification? Thought about having the dealer do the rejetting and I install the mufflers and AC at a later date. Thanks. J.T.

I don't think it makes any sense really. The dealer couldn't set it up right or even pick the right jets without the new pipes and air cleaner there.

My stock '02 FLHT ran lousy and had poor gas mileage, the dealer recommended the Dyno Jet mods to clear all that up. Near as I can tell it was about $150 in the dealers pocket. Now later, with the SE air cleaner and bored exhausts I'll be doing Dr. Tramp's recommended mod to replace the Dyno Jet setup and see what happens.

Thanks for the replys. I understand then. Well, I'll just have to decide if I want it done before the bike is picked up or do it later. I just wanted to save the extra $$ by doing as much of it myself.
Oh, I have read on the forum that the info. on NightRider is out of date. Can anyone suggest an URL of how to rejet the stock CV? I would like to do it all myself, save the money, but am a little insecure on attempting it. I've wrenched on cars, but never a bike. I guess a manuel is first on the list!! Thanks in advance. J.T.
