I replaced my rear brake lever with a new billet piece a couple of weekend ago. Everything came apart very easily. The only difficulty I had was to get the cotter pin back into the clevis - this took me about a half hour of jiggling and jaggling, but it eventually went in. Also, you will be working close to the rear of your front fender, so watch where your hands and tools are at all times - and your watch, rings etc. - I nearly dinged my fender a few times. Good luck - you should have no problems.
