What size is the rear axle nut? I adjusted my drivebelt last night and only had an 1 and a half inch socket. It worked ok but was a little too big. I'm not even sure if it is U.S. or metric.

Why a Vernier Caliper? Where would the measurement points be? I have a 2002 with the cam adjusters on the ends of the axle bolt. I fint it very easy to adjust using them vice the individual adjusters on each end of the swing arm. Are the cam adjusters accurate? Thanks for the reply on the axle nut size. Need to visit Sears.
