Does any one know the correct procedure for re attaching the air hose to stock HD air shocks on a touring model ?

Push in on the round plastic piece and insert tube. That's what it used to be. Haven't messed with any real late models though so don't know if they changed it or not.

yep ed y is correct. My 05 you just push in all the way and then pull(slightly) back out to make sure its seated correctly....really easy. If you have anydoubts about leaking, I got a bottle of slime for lack of better word from Home Depot. It is used to check for gas line leaks on stoves and such...Works great for me.....

Yep, that's the way it's done. But, after you insert the tube, and before you release the round plastic piece, push in just a little harder until you feel it seat.
