I currently have an 06 Deuce. I see in the specs from Harley the rake on the frame/neck is 32 degrees. I have read other posts where some say there is an additional 2 degrees of rake in the triple trees. Does anyone know for sure if there is rake in the triple trees and is it 2 degrees?

From what I understand, the Softail frame rake is 32* degrees for Deuce, Standard, Night Train, yadda, yadda. The Specs for a 2001 Deuce the rake is 34*. The extra 2* are the trees. On the Specs for a 2004 Deuce, the rake is 33*, and the tree would account for one degree. (Fork angle)

The 2006 Duece, the fork angle is 33*, but the neck rake is 32*. The trees account for that last degree of rake.

I seem to keep finding conflicting info when searching the internet for this info. Where are you getting it from and do you know what the stock rake for the 2002 Deuce is? I have to replace my top triple tree (ouch) and want to make sure I get the right piece. According to my 2002 parts catalog, I need part number 45769-00. there is almost always one on ebay but if different models have different rake, then hmmm.....

I often wonder if they're speaking in terms of actual rake in the frame, and then final neck angle as it sits on level ground. It seems odd for them to go back and forth on different trees.

I agree. I'm using a white bros lowering kit on stock shocks. It is approx 2" lower right now (I pump it back up a little when going on trips) "IF" my stock trees are 2* (2001 and 2002 alegedly are 34* total rake) then wouldn't a 3* raked tree put closer back to stock rake/trail?

Wish I had payed better attention in math class.

It will be in the ball park

Something to look into though when selecting trees. I hear that HHI trees puts the legs 3/4" farther into the trees, making the front end lower when they're installed.
