I have an 02 Road Glide that I am picking up in a couple weeks. I want to know if the radio power amp is only TourPack mounted? Is there any other option for the amp, cuz I don't plan to add the Pack?

TIA.

It is intended just to be mounted under the tour pack. On the Glide it is possible to mount it inside the fairing, but it involves a lot of work and custom fabrication. It gets real tight in there. What color? EFi or carb?

Black, EFI with Laced Wheels. Having the Big Bore Kit done (not the cams), along with a sick amount of chrome and billet "stuff".

My first trip with an H-D, after 6 prior machines. Finally going with the best. It's great to have a forum like this one to help a H-D rookie like me.

Thanks,

You can mount it inside your hard bag... There was some question about it overheating, but this is what the company says...

<<<<Mitch,
There is no problem mounting inside or outside the saddle bag. We have
tested it both ways; even wrapped up in heavy plastic it does not
overheat. You just want to use a water tight sealant on the holes that are
drilled into it to protect the items in your saddle bag from water
intrusion.

The ESS amp works in series with the internal amps in the radio. It is
pretty close to a plug and play kit. The directions will walk you through
the installation process step by step.

Good luck. I might mount it in a hard. Not sure yet...

Hope that helped.
