My ride came with a HD windshield...a QD I think. Anyway it bolts to clamps that are bolted to the trees. I'm asking if it can be converted to the quick-release type mounting? Bolting/unbolting is a pain and then there is having to keep up with those 4 small bolts....

If someone knows, I'd appreciate some info. Thanks

How about asking a parts distributorship where you would buy the parts if it can be done? This could even include the dealership!

I have a quick detach. I often find myself hoping it will still be there when I go back to it. I'm just sayin.........

Yes it can be ..I have a 01 fxdl ..the clamps you have have ribs and have 4 bolts that the windshield bolts to ..I believe those were considered quick detach at the time ..lol .any way yes you can convert over but ..the new lever type move the shield forward a lil .Wich in turn puts your headlights a lil behind the shield ..if yours has the eyebrow ..but that was just a excuse to change the headlight to one that mounts on bottom tree and a bullet style ..lol ..
