the term 2 -into -1 -into -2 has been changed on the 03 bike to Chrome dual slash-cut. New name for the same pipes? Or have the pipes themselves been redesigned but still look the same?

hippo, my guess too. I did see that the screamin' eagle pipes have changed to a cannon style. That really did catch me by surprise.
