Hey Guys,

What lengths are you guys using on the Custom?

I know that the stock shocks are 12 inches.

Is anyone using anything lower?

It looks to me as if the only lower size available is the 11.5 in.

Does anyone have some insight into using shorter 440s on their FLHRS/I as far as ride quality, clearance, etc...?

Thanks!

E

If you call progressive, they will even tell you not to go lower than 12". There is too little shock travel. I have seen many people sell 11.5's because the ride was horrible. They have the 440's at Wally's Cycle World for @ $388.00 with free shipping, but I am sure they will hit you with a "handling charge", maybe other's would know better. I will go for the 440 12" on my Custom.

I'm 230 and the wife is 125...the loaded 2 up riding on the ultra with the 11.5" 440's is great...much better than the stock 13's.
