progressive's website says that the 440-4020's will fit my 03 FLHTC but for 09 & up show a different part number,,and just curious as to wether the helped the ride/handling over the factory air shocks...looking to improve mine a little.

Very interesting. After looking back at the progressive site they no longer list a different part number for pre-09 bikes, so I guess this now fits all late model FLH/FLT's. You may have looked at the 440-4002 part number, that is for standard springs, the 4020 is the HD spring set. These are a definite improvement over stock especially if your a big guy like me(250) or do a lot of 2up riding.

Don't remember offhand, what was center to center length? my factory's are 13". and I don't want to lower the back of the bike,,so I may be interested if they are 13".

Yes these are the stock 13" length.
