i had a mech replace my shifter shaft assembly and my scoot puked fluid from what i thought was the tranny. i had another mech replace all the seals, still puked fluid. after getting info from this forum i felt i could do the fix myself. first i drained my primary and filled it with atf to see if i was leaking from my primary or tranny. it puked red, so i knew it was primary. after removing my inner primary i inspected the mainshaft and starter seals and they looked fine ???... i looked at the boot that covers the plunger of the solenoid, it was smashed. new boot no leak.

for what it's worth : i would have saved myself a lot work if i would have inspected the solenoid prior to removing the inner primary.
