You can participate in the forum as a regular member without ponying up. http://www.v-twinforum.com/forums/register.php
But, if you do, there are other benefits you can enjoy.
If it's the cost you are worried about, you can compare it to the cost of a magazine subscription. Only here, you get far more than any magazine could EVER give you. Stick around a while. Engage. You may come to realize how good this forum actually is. There are many members who have been here for years and do not subscribe. Some subscribe right away. It's your choice.

Yeah Dude give it a chance this place might grow on yah.
I have gotten more then enough information in here to more then pay any membership fee. From technical information for my bike to information totally non bike related. Besides the other stuff.

Apparently there has been a failure in the description of the VALUE of your membership.
1- FREE technical advise that ANY decent technician would get upwards of $100.00 per hour for.. (I have saved literally thousands of dollars in consultation money just by lurking)
2- FREE classified listings that cost money in the real world.. (I have more than equaled.. many times over..the cost of my membership in the money I have saved in buying from reputable members here...notice reputable.. Sure the possibility exists of a deal gone bad, but methinks very rare, and eliminates the whole e-bay BS experience)
3- FREE political and religious education. You'd pay tens of thousands of dollars per year to get info like this at any legitimate university.. all right here and offered by local, regional, and international experts.
4- Yes you have to pay to see the pretty pics..
Besides a lifetime membership is cheaper than the parts to change the oil on your bike one time. Come on... support the cause and join.. you've wasted more on less a thousand times in yer life...

These guys are right, I came here and to another HD forum, lurked around for a while, gots lots of great advice and then ponied up the dough to show support and say thank you. I asked discontinued using the other forum as it always crashed and this one never did. I don't know a soul that runs this forum but I'm sure it costs a few bucks to do so, so don't be cheap, if you wanna play you gotta pay, thankfully not that much.
Believe me it's worth it!

There is a pic explaining the whole thing, unfortunately you cant see it until you are a member.
I once was a Premimum member but I decided it wasn't worth it to me, so I spent the money on something to drink instead. :beer:
