Power Commander map conversion to RaceTuner

I picked up a RaceTuner (RT) today. My question is, can I load the powercommander map data into the RT (cell for cell) and end up with the same calibrations?

My powercommander map is a dyno tuned custom one and the bike runs great.

I like the fact that the RT loads directly into the ECM and I can eliminate the powercommander unit that is under the seat on my bike.

Since I didn't get any replies, let me ask another question.

I notice that the power commander map is based on throttle position and rpm versus the SERT map that is based on manifold air pressure and rpm. (I think I got that right?)

Is there any correlation between the throttle position and the manifold air pressure?

I haven't used the Power Commander myself but the SERT uses throttle position % vs. engine speed for setting the VE cells(injector pulse width) for each cylinder and in the individual spark tables its MAP versus engine speed to set spark advance for varying loads on the motor.

I would not think that you can directly translate the PC map to the SERT because it overlays data with the map data in the ECU, whereas the SERT software allows you to directly change the ECU map data with nothing inbetween, i.e. the PC.

WHY ????????
Snaps,
Thanks for the info.

Totenkopt,
I thought the PC map was adding additional fuel on top of the stock ECM calibration. Doesn't the SERT do the same thing?

DynoMan,
I got a good price on the SERT. If I don't use it on my current bike, I can either sell it or use it on another bike should I decide to do that.
Also, I'd like to learn to tune the bike myself, if possible.

No. the PC intercepts the ECU signals and runs it's map on top of the ECU map.

The SERT is direct access to the ECU, it IS the ECU map.

They both can add or subtract fuel and alter spark timing. The SERT allows Rev limit changes.

If your bike is running fine with the PC, leave it alone.

Remind me, what motor and mods are you running?
Bike is an 03 deuce. Right now I'm running a stock TC88 with a Big Sucker air cleaner, supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust and PCIIIr. 75HP and 80 ft lbs. torque.
May be going to a BB kit in the future.
