OK guys, impress me....
I just sold my Heritage and bought an 2001 Ultra Classic off of a friend of mine. It has a Stage 1 kit, with Wild Pigs slip-ons. It ran nice last season then it had a battery problem that my friend says didn't initially act like a battery problem. Before realizing it was just the battery he hooked his pc up to the Power Commander and made some "adjustments". Since then it ran a little rough when cold or at low rpms.

I bought the bike and brought it right to my mechanic who hooked it up to the computer and tried to download a map from another 01 Ultra with similar equipment. The Power Commander throws a error message when ever he attempts to load another map. It would only allow him to alter/adjust the map currently in the bike. He got it running much better, but do you guys have any ideas on the error message? I would think that you should be allowed to remove maps and load other maps as needed???

Are you speaking of the “some values are out of range” error message?
That one is just a software bug that can be ignored.

Might need to upgrade your firmware software in the PC. Go to Power Commander.com and look for software upgrades and check into them.

Go to the Power Commander website and try to educate yourself. There is a lot of info there, and their techs are usually willing to help as well. As winter is coming (at least where I am), it's a great time to become familiar with this sort of thing, and it's not all that difficult.
Download their canned maps (make sure to select the ones for your bike AND your year). I'll be you can download any one of those into your Power Commander. Use the "get map" feature to retrieve and save the map that's currently installed on your bike; that way you'll know where you're starting from and you won't lose it. Don't be afraid to experiment a little.

First place I would look is the 9 volt battery used to flash. Some years you were able flash on the bike with no 9V battery, I was never able to. Always had to have the 9V battery hooked. Also try swapping flash cables.

Maybe one of the moderators will catch this but your first thing is, to get DynoJet Research to look at this post you need to put it into the EFI section. Second you need to post more information. What error message? How familiar with PC is your mechanic? Is he a dealer mech or and independant?

PC only allows a certai percentage of change. go beyond that and you get the error mesage. you have to save and rename map, then send---------now you can adjust further.

probably you problem is like any others, trying to make someone elses map work on your bike!
