1995 FXDWG. EV-3 Andrews cam, V&H Propipe, Kuryakyn Hypercharger, rejetted carb, Screaming Eagle Ignition. Bike runs GREAT. Zero complaints.

The plug wires are the kind that have the flexible wire braid sheathing. There are also the small ground wires for each one. The terminals (spark plug end) had some pretty good corrosion that I have cleaned out. No problems with ignition so far.

Question is...if I do decide to change the plug wires what would you duty experts recommend I go with? I have had a couple of guys at the Harley dealer tell me they would get rid of the shielded wires...and also the chrome cylinder head caps that fit over the plugs before attaching the wires.

Thanks.

Steve,

SE wires are pretty good as Gunnar said. Taylor also makes some good wires. Custom Chrome and Drag Specialities both sell them, I think.

For a basically stock bike with exhaust change, air cleaner change and rejetted carb, there's nothing wrong with the stock wires. It's not that big a deal.
