Had a GREAT time riding with friends on the N.W FLORIDA ABATE Toy Run this past Sunday. The paper on Sunday said there were 919 bikes that rode through the sign-up area. I rode with the American Legion Riders, Post 240. There were so many people out there on what turned out to be a beautiful day. Rode through a little rain and standing water on the way to the ride but after that...bone dry. I had on a t-shirt with a long sleeve cotton shirt over it and that was more than enough. Ended up pulling the sleeves up. Yep...it was pretty rough here in Pensacola on Sunday.....a chilly 78 degrees.

Bottom line is that we raised about $10,000 and hundreds of toys for those in need this Christmas. Cold front moved in yesterday and the temps are now down as they normally are for December...37 this morning. However, supposed to be in the high 50s and 60s most of the week after the sun is up for awhile.

I will say one thing...at times the deputies ere escorting the pack at about 65 to 70 mph down the country roads. That was a little faster than I would have wanted to go if I had a say in it...for such a large formation. That meant lots of catch-up following turns for those further back. All in all it was a really good day and knees were in the wind.

Merry Christmas and Semper Fi,
Steve...Pensacola
