I'm kicking around the idea of installing a springer front end on my Superglide, and wondered if anyone here has done this. J&P sells a kit made by Paughco that looks nice on paper, but I'm concerned with handling. I'd hate to spend $1350 for the fork kit (not including headlamp, fenders, axle, wheel, tire, etc) just to find that the geometry is all wrong. How does one know whether they'll achieve proper rake, trail, and all that stuff until the parts are bolted to the frame? Also, will Harley accessories bolt up to the Paughco front end (windscreen & passing lamps)? Heck, maybe Paughco makes them for Harley, for all I know.
