I know we zip around our local Wal-mart parking lots without alot
of worry due to low speeds and such.
But, watch out when traveling down a parking lane for the knucklehead
flying out of his space!!
Today, I nearly got nailed when some smackoff started to back up without
looking to see if it was clear.
I just wanted to mention this in the forum here as I've sure picked up
some valuable information.

Parking lots are dangerous but learned a long time ago to never zip around in parking lots. You never know when some yahoo is going to throw it in reverse and jump on the gas or even worse when some small child is running between cars and then right out into your path.
On another note -- I don't shop Walmart -- HA! Couldn't resist it.
Thanks for the tip.

Another Thought

In my area, the Dept of Trans uses what they call"tar & Chip" which is
a two bit half hearted attempt for road repair. Its laying down a coating of
fresh tar & then covering it with a small grade of gravel. For a bike it
can be the kiss of death! Imagine driving along on a bed of gravel
trying to avoid piles of gravel that gets dumped along the side of the
road!
Just another thing to watch out for !

And while we are reminding everyone, watch those four way intersections and drivers running the red lights...

We just had a motorcycle saftey instructor get hit last weekend from a driver who ran a red when the other lights were green!

Lights & Signs

It just proves that red lights & stop signs don't stop'em & turn signals
don't turn'em!!

masher51,
I'm with you on that tar & chip crap -- you really have to be careful when this stuff is on the road and you're right, this is just another thing to look out for.
