I just got a set of Buell 1200 jugs. They are black. No polished fins, but just all black. My stock heads are silver. I don't want them mismatched. I need suggestions.
Should I paint the heads black to match the jugs?
Should I bead blast and match the jugs to the stock heads?
Which of these would be easier?
Which would be cheaper?
Any and all suggestions wanted. Thanks.

I would paint the heads to match the jugs, as black will radiate heat better than the silver, keeping your motor cooler.

Just my $.02...

I'd consider have Sumax powder coat them

Get chrome heads to replace yours, then have the fins polished. That would look sweet.

just my 2 cents though,

My brother struggled with this question also, finally decided just to use the black jugs as is. It looks good this way, does not look any better or any worse than all silver, just looks good. You really don't notice it unless you think about it, when you do you say to yourself "looks good". Were I to do it myself, I would likely leave thew black as well
