No, that's what it stands for. I've heard many Vietnam vets use that term and they explained that is what it meant.

So how long (how many posts) does it take to not be the FNG anymore?
This board doesn't have the status levels in the FAQ, but an earlier thread says 30 to be a "seasoned rider" and 100 for "iron butt".

Or like the doc526 says - change it to a custom status in the user cpanel. If we keep this up you'll see it change shortly :D

Hey Smokey,
I got a kick out of looking at your little picture -- LaLa.....it doesn't matter......., then looking over to the right and reading -- OK I'm stupid.
For some reason it just caught me off guard and made me laugh. Please don't misunderstand me -- I'm not trying to be disrespectful.

Unome,
You're right from what I know. I remember my father talking about it some. He said, "How long a guy remained an FNG depended on a number of things, including his attitude, his willingness to listen and learn, his competence, his dedication to the team and its task, the activity level of his team, and, of course, whether he survived his time as an FNG. A guy graduated from being an FNG when he had learned enough to keep himself alive and contribute to the team, and when the team had observed his performance in action enough to let them sleep just a little better during his watch."

Who the hell is this MPZ asshole anyway? Boy, who the hell do you think you are? Brand new to the forum and calling people pansies and nerdy geeks. Absolutely no respect!

To the bona fide users of this forum: I humbly apologize for letting my temper get the better of me. I know better. The adult thing to do would be simply ignore offensive comments. Again, I apologize.

That's alright, dave51. I got this one. I think if you look back at the thread, I was explaining the acornyms and gbeener was asking. So MPZ if you were directing that towards me, I get out of the Army on 31March03. I will be going home to southwest VA. My hometown has a NASCAR track there.(you seem to be the person of that intellectual prowess and character, so I hope you can figure it out) We'll meet somewhere out in the country(I own about twenty acres that would be the perfect place), so no one can bother us with THEIR opinion and we'll work something out. How bout that, partner?
Or....(and I feel many people on this site feel the same) we would appreciate any offensive thoughts to be kept to yourselves, because apparently there has to be something stored in the fifty million brain cells enclosed inside your brian bucket.
TO EVERYONE ON THE FORUM: I do apologize for the NASCAR comment, just in case I offended anyone. I am that calibre of person(*******). I just happen to be an educated *******!
The comment pi$$ed me off, I've had a $hitty week thus far:mad:, and I wish my man,MPZ, were here to help me with my anger management.:D
Again, my opinion mirrors dave51's opinion in the post prior to this one. Good advice, dave51.
