Lets make some plans here......I'm driving from Louisiana, will be there 3/4 or 5/03 thru the weekend. Anybody know a common, popular place we can meet, hookup? Somewhere with COLD beer and lottsa fine women, and we'll supply the studs with great looking bikes.......lol. Anybody got any suggestions on where to stay in the area? Someplace not too damn expensive but clean. I don't mind riding a bit to the activities, how far at this late date do I need to stay out of Daytona? Any pointers or info help appreciated. Do I need to worry about someone stealing my precious VROD while I'm there?

Locking bikes together helps, Don't park on side streets. Is it insured ??? I have been going for about 15 years and have never had a problem. I think you inverted your second date theree. I don't know if I am going yet do to unscheduled shoulder surgery . I will know Feb 4th, any I deas where to meet guys ??? Broken spoke is pretty big on route 1 a little away from the traffic ??????

It would be nice to have a coordinated V-Rod gathering. I saw about ten Rods at Biketoberfest, but only two with owners. October was my first time there, so I don't know enough to make a suggestion for a meeting place. Maybe the vrodders from JAX would have some ideas. Hotels - I stayed in Deland, but it sucked paying $150/night for a crappy hotel room. The same room costs even more for Bike Week.

Having set up a few "eyeballs", IRL's (in real life meetings), set your goals low. If even two or three people are able to make it, you've got to meet people you hadn't met before. Go for it.

I've already used two weeks off from work in January, so I can't take a week off for Daytona. But I don't want to miss any V-Rod gathering, so I'll come whenever it's held. The ride from here is about 2.5 hours, so I would leave work early on Thursday (if it's on Thurs. night) and take Friday off.

Bermuda: I'm good with the Ocean Deck on Wed or Thur. Is that the one on the peer or the under the board walk? I rember chasing girls in 1980 at one of those...think it was the Ocean Deck!?

H/D Forum Get Together @ Daytona
There is now a thread in the General Forum (also in Southeast activities) about a get together in Daytona.
There are some pretty firm plans being discussed in the General Forum.
With a bit of coordination, several H/D Forum members and V-Rod owners will have a chance to have an "eyeball" in Daytona.
Good luck, guys, in getting the logistics worked out. Maybe I'll be able to make it in 2004.

Absolutely, there can be more than one get together!
Trying to arrange logistics at a biker event can be very difficult!
Just pick another day and time and confirm it. Repeat it a dozen times between now and Daytona!!! (No joke. It's necessary.)
