I am sure this has been discussed b4. After 12,000 miles on my 2000 RK i am noticing oil blowing out behind KN air filter. Actually spraying on y pipe and saddle bag. Its a fine spray and if you rub finger under air filter cover, you get oile on it. I notice the smell more on high revs and when cracking throttle. Any advice will be Much appreciated.

Someone more qualified will chime in. I assume your next step should be a leak down test. The oil is probably coming from your breathers.

That's usually easy to figure out because it's nice clean red K&N oil.......

Check out the engine mod section. This very issue is being discussed.

Mine was oil pump alignment, or O-rings. Started "all of a sudden", but got progressively worse as time went on. During a cam install I realigned the pump and replaced all the O-rings, all's well now.
