Ok, I'm new to this site so be gentle,,I heard tell you can fabricate your own o-ring tool for removing the oil lines off a Fatboy. Can anyone fill me in on this? Thanks, it's a '02 by the way.

I just squeeze them with my fingers , and pull them out.
no special tool required..mine is a 03

I don't know much about this bike yet,,, but it has metal lines into the tank! The manual calls for HD part # HD44455, looks like the type of tool you'd use to remove fuel injector lines from a auto.

gently pry back the chrome bezel around the line with something that won't scratch the chrome and simply squeeze the tabs and pull the lines out. I have never used any special tool.

In case you haven't done this yet, cut a piece of plastic milk carton, or plastic oil container a couple inches long, and just wide enough to wrap around the tubing. Wrap it around, slide it in. Done. Works on all those types of clips, from AC to transmissions.
