Sometimes a TC88 with an SE air filter will puke oil at speeds above 65 mph. I had this problem on my 02 FLHRCI. The two breather tubes are mounted too low on the backing plate and at high speeds, the excess oil blows all over your pipes instead of getting sucked back into the motor. The dealer will fix this for about 1 hour labor by plugging the bottom holes and re-drilling two holes near the top of the backing plate, and re-connect the tubes there. I was kind of PO'd about having to pay for this, which I considered to be a design flaw, so I called HD, and after a short discussion, they authorized to pay. After the job had been completed, I went for a short cruise at about 80mph, and no more oil pukes on my rear pipe. Anyhow--a story with a happy ending. I don't now how HD decides whether or not a particular situation warrants their authorization to pay but it's always worth a try.
