Putting new rings on old pistons can fail sometimes, not often but it can fail we have seen it happen. One of the cylinders does not seal the results is oiling or wet cylinder the oil in the cylinder never dries gas does. What grit stones did you use when honing the cylinders and did you hone cylinders when you re-ringed it.My guess is its piston or ring related a leak down test will not show loss of oil contol to the oil rings.
