I am still waiting for my diamond back seat and tail section to come in. I looked up under the rear fender and noticed that the machine screw that holds the rear of the seat on has what looks like a round nut, no shoulders on it. WTFO? Are they hard to remove? Any reason I shouldn't **** can it and replace with a nylon lock nut?

Not sure I follow you. The seats are usually held with a screw from the top, and the "nut" that appears to be round really isn't. It is held captive in the fender by a clip and is keyed to the fender to keep it from turning.

I suppose you could use a locknut, but then you would need to remove the wheel to remove the seat.
