I've seen the stuff, and it looks like you're wearing a sleeping bag. For a fair amount of protection, canst the cold and wind. if it's decent quality they'll also offer a fair amount of protection against road rash but not much. Personally I don't think I would be caught dead, and anything but leather. Nylon reminds me of something that the "Village people" would wear, and from what I see as far as price goes, it's almost the same as leather.

The use of non-leather chaps on a Harley will void your warranty so make sure your warranty is up before you make the buy.
