Well, I am getting ready to change the sneakers on the girl before the riding season here starts and would have just replaced them with the OEM Dunlops. I have been reading a ton of threads lately touting the merits of Avon and Metzlers however, so I thought I'd switch path!

I am looking at the Metzlers over Avon, price wise?

Am I really going to see such a difference that I am going to wonder how I lived without the Metzlers so long?? We have some pretty bad roads here in Vermont and I have never really had a motorcycle handling problem that was not related to something worn.

I put Metzelers on my scoot last summer and the difference is very noticable. over cracks in road, grated bridges and in the rain. over all handles better too. night and day so yes you'll wonder why they put dunlaps on these things at all.

good luck and ride safe.

P.S. sneakers? are you pimping your ride?

I have been a Metzeler fan for many years. You won't be disappointed
in handling or wear. If you order on line, check out americanmototire.com

I think that is where you see the biggest difference. Grooved pavement, bridges and tar snakes. In these situations the difference is dramatic.

used metzlers on dirt bikes back in the day when they only came on maicos( rember them) you will not be disappointed imo
Maybe that's why those Maicos beat my Bultaco to the first turn all the time.
That would be in 1968. I think you were 2 then.
