Just started to hear the usual noise from the cam side and am going to go ahead and replace the cam plate and tensioners with new hydraulics and am wondering whet is best all around cam for a 2005 RK Classic with only stage one upgrades? By the way it has 26,000 on it and have been using syn 3 so far. Been lookin at posts and think 26n andrews are probably what I need but just wanting to make sure before I put the $$$'s down and get started.

I like the Andrews 26N in an 88 or 95. It puts the torque right where most people ride.

It would be best to go to 95, a mild port & polish w/ 83cc on heads and .030 squish, a good 2-1 pipe and a tune. I did this on a 04 Fat Boy and was most happy.
