just built a 127 ultima, for street and strip, run it last week and bent a axel i wasnt impressed with it. question is anybody know what rear sprocket i should be running. i am running 23 on front which i would like to keep and a 48 rear, that is the one i would like to change to get the best out of it. any experiances out there or suggestions i could use . thanks doug

gear ratio

calculate your gear ratio ,you will need primary ratio and rear transmision to sprocket ratio multiplyed by each other along with rear wheel-tire radius.Try to go thru the traps at peak horsepower or up to 10% higher depending on how your engine noses over.Here is usefull site for calculation info.http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm
