The stock twin cam air cleaner cover will not fit on the stage II. The old round evo style will.
Another thing to consider is the size of the filter...if it's much taller it can interfer with your right leg and be uncomfortable on longer rides. I run an exposed filter here in Georgia where we get a fair amount of rain...never have had a problem. I think the oil/gauze filter stops most of it, besides a little water in the intake won't harm a thing...water injection has been used for years to help build BIG power by lowering detonation!hej said:Makes sense. So really unless I'm planning on doing stage II later on, putting it on doesn't hurt but doesn't help either. Just cost more and is bigger next to my leg.
As a follow on... with the filter exposed, how do you deal with rain?
... not that I want to ride in the rain
... and it nevers rains in San Diego
... like it did to me this last Sunday![]()
