Just bought what I thought were v&h short shots from ebay. Now I am not sure, so I need some help.

They do not have any baffles or end caps, so here are my questions:

Are the long shots two pieces (removable "muffler" section)?

Does anyone have some close up pics of the short shots and long shots?

Is there any other way to tell what I have?

thanks

I have V & H Shortshots on my Fat Boy. They are definitely one piece and I believe the Longshots are the same only longer.

There are baffles inside (bumpy tubes inside pipes) but no end caps.

Go to the Vance & Hines web site and there are plenty of pics to check out.

these are one piece, but no baffles. Just wanting to make sure I don't just have the front half of long shots.

Rapid one, these are going on a fatboy also. could you send me a couple pics.

oldhokie, Sorry dude but don't have any pics.

The V & H Shortshots are dead even on the ends. (Flush with each other)

The baffles are not real apparent and appear as bumps on the Inside Diameter (I.D.) of the pipes. You can still see straight through them.

Vance & Hines does not recommend that the pipes be run without the baffles as performance will suffer.

Again, go to the Vance & Hines web site, there are several pics of the shortshots from different angles.

I love mine. distinctive growl and plenty loud enough without being obnoxiously loud.
