My OL:boobies: has a 2005 XL 1200 custom and I want to get her better pipes. She wants 2into 2. What I need is some feed back on a good set. :dunno: Don't want drag pipes, they are just too loud. What were looking for is something like that sound of the V/H propipe. Ya know Loud but not too loud. Also a good AC to go along with the pipe. Any feedback would be helpfull. This is one of her Christmas presents from me. Got to keep moma happy:D Hope ya'll had a nice Christmas:thanks:

Try the Bassani Pro Streets:yes:
vance and hines came out with slip ons for sportsters. I haven't heard them but they look good, online pics I've seen.
Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the V/H slip on's and Bassani Pro Street.
Cycle Shack slipons & stock headpipes with the crossover are a time proven hot setup. Very good power, good sound, good price.
Arnt those Pro Streets a little loud?
Cycle shack, best price/value/performance.
Cycle Shack slipp on's sound good, for a good price.
I run 2 inch slash cut drag pipes, with Khromewerks hp baffles. Not too loud, and the sound is a deep rumble, not a "putt putt".
Had Cycle Shacks on my 04 Sporty. Good sound, not loud but definately Harley. Also did the SE AC and a rejet. Got good power out of the setup.
My buddy has a 1200 with RUSH mufflers theyhave the best sound I heard
on a sporty they have sound bites on their web site epiflex.com

Well if you insist in having it loud ,, just go with a pair of slip ons ....from what i have read they do about as good a job as the exotic stuff .... cycle shack ,, SE. etc. Personally i like the stock sound of a harley.... its nice being different lol. You might as well do the aircleaner and the required re jet job while your at it .....You will burn a little more fuel , make a good deal more noise and the most noticable thing will be the throttle response ..... rat
:thanks: Thanks for all the feed back. I think I'll get the V/H slip on's for her bike. Will also do a better air cleaner and a re-jet too. That should make her happy. As the saying goes " If moma ain't happy, then nobodys happy"
I just punched a hole in the stockers and wow, what a difference. had a 2001 883C and it improved both the sound and the performance. Also put the SE air cleaner on. Worth a try
