This is embarrasing, I can't remove the seat on my '02 FLSTF. I have removed the 3 screws (fender and 2 side screws) and unhooked the strap. The manual says to just pull back, but it won't budge. Am I missing something?

Thanks - Z

It could just be a tight fit. Press down on the front near the tank while pulling backwards on it . It should come right off.

I'll repeat the post i answered this with over in that "other" forum just a minute ago...I'l bet a dollar I'm right:

The side screws have a flange around them that can get trapped on the threaded inserts (adapers) in that are in the frame.....pull out on the sides of the seat or the brackets that the screws go through through to pop them out wider....it will free up....them lift up and back with the whole seat

Thanks Logical, got it off. You were right. I just needed to tug the sides a little. Sorry for posting to the wrong forum.

You're not kidding, my arse feels like it has buck shot in it after riding just a couple hundred miles. It is terrible!
