I need the exact size of Allen wrench to install a windshield bag on my Road King. Can anyone help?

I need to check to be sure but I believe it's a Torx and not an Allen.

You're very correct NeckBall.....they be Torx (T27) unless somebody's changed 'em out.

I believe they are the new Torx (They are more star like at the tip where as the older Torx were flat and wider at the tips).

Found this out the hard way :badmood:

This is the first I've heard of this.

Does anyone know about when they changed? Thanks

be CAREFUL...most sets won't have a 27 in there.

it's kind of an oddball, verify before you buy.

i usually just buy all the 27's i see, nut driver & screwdriver.
some riding buddy always needs one, borrows one,

it's just easier to find something that small when you own 2 of them.

you need it to adjust the grip position also.

There are regular torx bits and there are torx plus. Torx plus have been around awhile. Most times a regular torx will work on a torx plus bolt, but you stand a better shot of rounding out the bolt.
