Hi
I've removed my passing lamp bracket along with the stock signals and noticed the nacelle is flawed. If you stand facing the headlight and look below it, the nacelle does not fit perfectly and one side is higher than the other. I've aligned the 2 pins correctly on reassembly (top and bottom). Mine has been this way since it came from the factory.

My question is does anyone know of a replacement nacelle for a 02 road king or has any ideas on how to fix this (aside from welding and re-chroming)? Thanks.

Want to hear more? If you look at the back side of the forks you'll notice the fork tins are pinned on very haphazardly! :D At least on mine they look that way.

Wish there were more attention to details by the factory in this area.

I broke the top chrome trim piece on mine (Cheap a$$ pot metal)! The gap on top is really driving me crazy! And, when the sun is just right I can see the wires inside...I'm afraid they'll melt! I'm sure my stealer will get the part in any week now. I'm still waiting for a cruise control lense cover I ordered right after Christmas. That broke too!!

Have ya tried re-attaching the speed nut 'spike' (I presume thats what broke?) with that 'metal' putty stuff you can buy?
It comes in a roll of putty, one coloured 'inner' core and a different coloured outter.
Anyway, ya cut it to lenght mix together (something like epoxy) and stick that 'spike ' back on.
Hardens as hard as steel!!!
I always carry a tube of it incase something breaks while I'm out, just 'putty' whatever back together for a quick fix.

I bought one of those little pot metal Pieces also. You would think for 40 dollars the damn thing would be of higher quality.
Wurkenman,
Your bike looks really interesting, could you post a big picture of it here, or do you have a site where one can see pics of your bike? Thanks.

Damn! Now I know im not going nutz trying to align the nacelle on my bike. (converting a glide to a king) I went the cheap route and bought a police nacelle rather than the chrome one. Thanks for helping me maintain my sanity.
