Have been working on a 2.4 Tank for a dyna. Pretty much done except for final welding, paint and sealing. Not really something you see very often. I have no idea why I want to do a sportster clone. None the less it is entertaining and a challenge.

did you make the tank from scratch or fab a sporty tank? I like the peanut tank look too. To me the large seat is throwing off the balance, either go smaller two up or single seat or rake the front and put an old king/queen seat on there haha

It’s a Efi tank that I cut the bracket off and widened the tunnel on. I reused as much metal as I could, I could of saved some cash by going with a tank shell and doing it all but I knew this way was a bit less work and would hide the square back bone. I do have another of the same seat sitting around torn apart that I had plans for narrowing and doing some foam work on. There aren’t a ton of seats for the bike on the market so sadly I am better off making one than buying one. I’m not sure if I would be happy raking my daily bike for the roads I’m on though

I like what ya got going, what color you hitting it with?

I have no idea. Most likely black with some decal that would come on a stock bike. Kind of don’t want to do the fenders unless I found new ones. Whole reason for this project is because the stock tank has some pretty scary rust under the dash and I rather just do something different and I retesting than replace the tank with the same tank.
