I posted this in the seats forum, but thought some of you here may not look there. I'm considering changing my wife's stock 05 Dyna seat with the Mustang studded seat with backrest. I am wondering if anyone has done this and how the seat moved the riding position? Did you go up or down? Forward or back?

I am hoping for the same and/or forward/down. Anything but back further or up! She's only 5' tall.

I put the vintage solo with removable back rest on my 2003 fxd. it sit higher a bit (which i like) but I didn't notice any forward movement. there is so much room to the seat and the comfort is well worth the money.

I've got a Mustang "Wide Regal Touring Seat" on my 01 FXD. It's many times more comfortable than the stock seats I've experienced. I can ride for 600 miles a day in that saddle. It's a couple of inches thicker than the low-profile badlander (?) seat that came with the bike. I've never even tried using the badlander seat.
