A stock bike will not redline in 5th gear.

With EFI gearing on a late touring bike in 5th gear 90 mph cruise is 4000 rpm, and pretty much each 500 rpm is 10 mph either way, ie 110 indicated is 5000 rpm and that's about what they pull.

Hey bro,

I have the same scoot. Stage 1 with V&H. Had her at 118 MPH a year ago and I think there may have been a bit more. She was wound up pretty tight, but the engine had no sign of killing itself. Maintained the speed for maybe 3 seconds.

Y2KFLHRCI I would not worry too much about 5th Gear Redline. A 85 -90 MPH cruise is what she was built for. Kick back and enjoy her bro.

Thanks guys

I've had her at 110 twice (screen on thankfully) just to see what she'd do.
90ish is my usual cruise to work, so I should be ok with that.
Thanks for putting my mind at rest guys! :D
