I was trying to take the entire headlight housing off the front of the bike. The entire housing needs to come out, but all I can see is that I have to force it off therefore breaking the wires. I need to replace the entire headlight housing. So I found the nuts that needed to be unscrewed to let go of the headlight but all of the wires seemed to be stopping the housing from letting go. The wires were stuck in this rubber insolator that was molded into the back of the headlight housing. In the manual it shows that there should be a clip behind the housing to pull the wires apart from the bike. I couldn't see this clip, all I could see was these wires continuing on into the frame under the gas tank. I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly?

I'll offer you some advice, it's free so take it for what it's worth.

You should be able to free the wires from the plug that attaches to your headlight bulb. That would allow you to remove the assembly without ripping the wires apart.

If you don't have the service manual for your bike yet - get one.
