And what a day it was! Originally scheduled for showers in our area today, all were pleasantly surprised by the sun that started out the day with a killer sun-rise. For the whole day not a drop from the sky for today’s ride fell!

The route was 82 miles non-stop with a Police Escort and went though some beautiful back roads in Montgomery Country, Maryland and even through a few Fire Stations Garages! Estimated attendance of riders was over 1000!

Although while up north the ground was wet from the previous nights rain, by the end of the run the sun was shining brightly while everyone rode under a flag suspended by two Ladder Trucks in the middle of Georgia Avenue.

A fantastic lunch was provided afterward with live music and plenty of seating under a big tent.

Great Friends, Great Food, Great Weather, Great Ride!

See everyone next year!

WYODude,

BTW, I looked for your Bike but could not see it at the ride. Where you there today? If so, pretty good ride yes?

JFScheck,

Yes, I was there in the back of the first back (recall that they split the street in two, I was near the back on the right side). I was with my brother-in-law, he has a red BWM.

I was looking for your bike also, but didn't see it.

Regarding the ride, yeah it was fun, but around mile 50 (where the group turned back onto Germantown Road), I started feeling really strange, started sweating and had some minor vision problems. I pulled over and drank a liter of water, and felt alot better. I gave my wristband to my brother-in-law and he took his wife to the after-the-ride lunch. I headed home for a small nap.

This is the second time, I've had some mild dehydration on a ride (the first was at the MS state HOG rally). I'm gonna start keeping a closer eye on this.

Anyway, the part of the ride I did was great and it was a great cause. I'd gladly recommend it and will do it again next year.

Regards,

wyodude

You must have been close to me then :-( I was in the third row from the right, in the right hand staging area, behind a Enduro-Motorcycle. IF you saw a bunch of guys with HOG Montgomery County vests, patchs, etc. I was right with them.

You must have been dehadrated! I loved going through the fire stations. Did you make it through any? Kinda fun seeing all the people along the route waving their American Flags.

When/Where is the next ride? I will meet you before hand so we can stage together and represent the "Harley Davidson Forum"! :D
