Saw a guy who had HD bar/shield outline machined into his solid wheels Of course now can't find him to ask where/how he had this done. Anyone out there have any experience with machining openings into their FatBoy wheels?

Say what you will as that is an old arguement, but your solid fatboy wheels aren't parachutes and don't adversely effect handling. If they did, the Moco would have liability issues and surely wouldn't continue to use them in this day of lawyers.

Now to answer your question, Motorway Custom Cycles in Manchester NH does the wheel cut outs and has many designs to choose from, including fatboy emblem type cut outs, bar and shield, stars, lightning bolts etc...

Hi Jawrider!
Not sure if this will be of any help to you but may give you an idea of what can be done.
It's an Aussie mob called Dragwy-Been around for many years and has been modifying HD wheels for ages.Go to www.dragway.com.au
Also I was doing some Xmas shut down work for Harleys wheel supplier-here in Adelaide(ION/Castalloy)and saw some new(prototype)wheels with Flames and various other designs that will be seen in the future.
