Any one know of a SAFE way to lower the rear of the new 2006 FLHX = Street Glide? Lowering blocks won't work, tweeks the right shock out to far.
Have contacted progressive suspension for advice but no reply. Would rather not have air assisted shocks.

They come lowered from the factory. How much lower do you want to go?
I would not lower the back anymore without doing the front as well..

Just an inch front and rear
the bike will to be too low,you will definately scrape your pipes in turns, and maybe your frame.Ever touch the frame and pogo a few feet into another lane? it ain't fun!

I think 1/2 inch is all you want to go more than you have now......probably not worth the expense. If you choose to do so, Progressive 440's a re always a good choice.....
