I removed the filter to dry it after a rather soapy experience and the studs came off with the filter. I took the screws apart from one another and cleaned the thead lock off that they had applied during the install but I'm not sure which grades to use while reinstalling.

The studs had what looked like a red thread locker and the filter screws had a yellow or green grade.

Since I had the kit installed during the first scheduled service I did not get the factory installation sheet. Please bring me up to speed if torque specs for the studs in the kit are different than the OEM cleaner specs in the shop manual.

Thanks!

Blue, as above. To keep this from happening in the future I torque the studs to 60 IN/Lb and the screws to 55 IN/Lb.
That's INCH/Pounds...

Mossy:

Mega makes a good point; and another option that worked for me on the Ness Big Suckers was blue on the studs and lower strength purple on the screws.

Never had anything vibrate loose, yet easily disassembled for cleaning.
